The GMEF Enrichment Scholarship Award
In Memory of Sandra L. Miner

Sandra L. Miner was President of the Gill-Montague Education Fund 2006 - 2012.  She was committed to 'Supporting Excellence & Innovation in Our Schools' through her service on the GMEF, as well as her volunteering efforts through the years as a parent and grandparent.

Sandy, as she was known to many, enriched the lives of others by generously sharing her time and talents.  From her knitting needles came hundreds of tiny caps for premature infants and winter mittens for school children.  She was the author of 2 knitting books from which the proceeds benefited the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Baystate Medical Center and Relay for Life.

Sandy gained the respect of staffs in both the Erving and Gill-Montague districts by her advocacy and kindness.

In honor of her life of dedication to the education of her children and all the children of Erving and Gill-Montague, the GMEF is proud to present two (2) scholarship awards to students who demonstrated how they will enrich their lives beyond high school graduation.   It may be to pursue a degree, technical school, certification program,  or military service.
