Student Representative on the GMEF
Two high school students
Purpose
- To serve as an ambassador between the GMEF and the student body
- To provide insight and support to the Board’s understanding of student issues and perspectives regarding enrichment grants and the Annual Gala
- To develop communication and leadership skills
- To gain insight, experience and knowledge of serving at board meetings
- To participate in community service for the National Honor Society requirement
- To expand your portfolio for college resumes
Application Process
- Students submit a letter of interest to the Board of Directors with two (2) reference letters, at least one from a teacher or administrator. The other can be from a student, parent, or employer.
- Selected applicants will be interviewed by the Board of Directors.
Responsibilities of the Student Representative
- Attend all Board meetings
- Review agenda and minutes each meeting.
- Promote the Annual Gala
