Student Representative on the GMEF
Two high school students
 

Purpose

  • To serve as an ambassador between the GMEF and the student body
  • To provide insight and support to the Board’s understanding of student issues and perspectives regarding enrichment grants and the   Annual Gala
  • To develop communication and leadership skills
  • To gain insight, experience and knowledge of serving at board meetings
  • To participate in community service for the National Honor Society requirement
  • To expand your portfolio for college resumes
 Application Process
  • Students submit a letter of interest to the Board of Directors with two (2) reference letters, at least one from a teacher or administrator.  The other can be from a student, parent, or employer.
  • Selected applicants will be interviewed by the Board of Directors.
Responsibilities of the Student Representative
  • Attend all Board meetings
  • Review agenda and minutes each meeting.
  • Promote the Annual Gala
